I Don’t Speak English

You’re explaining things again.
Full sentences. Eye contact. Hand gestures.
Bold of you to assume I understand the plot.

SESSION NOTE

Communication mismatch with emotional leakage.

THE SESSION

You talk to me like I’m a small, slightly furry human.
“You know better.”
“Why would you do that?”
“Don’t even think about it.”

And I’m sitting there like… I caught maybe one word. The rest was vibes.

Dogs don’t process language the way you do.
We read tone, body movement, energy shifts. Not your full TED Talk.

So when you speak in long sentences, especially with emotion behind them, I don’t hear logic.
I feel pressure. Confusion. Sometimes tension.

Then you repeat it. Louder. Slower.
As if I missed it the first time. I didn’t. I just didn’t understand it the way you think.

And here’s the part that matters—
when your words don’t match your energy, it gets even harder.

You might say “it’s okay” while your body says “I’m frustrated.”
Guess which one I believe.

So I start guessing.
I try something. You correct me. I try again. You shift again.

And now I’m not disobedient… I’m unsure.

Underneath it, I’m not ignoring you.
I’m trying to read a language that keeps changing.

WHAT YOUR DOG IS REALLY SAYING

“I don’t need more words… I need clearer signals.”

COZYMD RATING

Stress Level: 7/10

COZYMD TREATMENT PLAN

Simplify your communication. Use short, consistent words paired with clear body cues. Keep your tone calm and your signals steady so your dog can actually understand what you mean. When they get it right, acknowledge it right away. A calm environment and something grounding like a gentle chew or familiar routine can help them feel more confident and less confused.

CLOSING

It’s not that I don’t listen… it’s that you’re speaking a language I can’t follow.
